Recent Wedding Stuff...

In the past 5 weeks since we got engaged, Jen and I have made lots of progress in our wedding plans. The highlights:

- Set the date - October 16, 2004, 10:30am
- We had dinner with our families. They had met many times before, so this wasn't the normal stressor. It was great to have them all together and talking informally about our future plans.
- Reception / Ceremony - we found a great place to have the reception and ceremony. The wedding planner there has been wonderful, and we are just about to send in the paperwork to finalize the booking.
- Guest List - after many discussions among ourselves and with our families, we settled on a guest list of about 125 people.
- Bridal Show - we went to a bridal show at the Whittemore Center at UNH so we could meet some of the Highlander's preferred vendors. We got to eat some great cake from Jacque's, got some great tux deals from Mr. Tux. and see lots of other things.
- Dinner with Jeff Salloway - on the same day that we went to bridal show, Professor Salloway invited us to his home to have dinner with him and his wife. It was a wonderful evening, and he provided some amazing counsel and advice.

I am sure that I have forgot many of the things we have done in the past month or so...more to come.
